Sandra Merritt’s undercover journalism exposed the gruesome reality of Planned Parenthood’s scheme to sell baby body parts. Then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris tried to silence that truth by launching a rigged investigation into Sandra’s so-called crime.
Now, Harris is eagerly anticipating casting the determining vote to abolish the filibuster in the Senate, pass an abortion bill and force unrestricted abortion on every state in the union—whether they like it or not. Meanwhile, Sandra potentially faces millions of dollars in fines and a decade or more in prison. We recently returned from a San Francisco courtroom where we fought the latest battle in Sandra’s ongoing defense.
Emboldened by the vote on the “Respect for Marriage Act,” Harris and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) now have their sights set on passing radical abortion bills.
Liberty Counsel is determined to defeat Harris’ plans, both in the courtroom and in Congress.
On Capitol Hill, Senate Democrats and at least two Republicans have determined to force abortion on every state. If they cannot get the necessary 60 votes for cloture, they have a Plan B.
The Democrats have 48 votes to abolish the 60-vote filibuster rule, and 49 with Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking vote. They only need two more votes to abolish the filibuster and pass their radical abortion bills—along with their entire agenda—because once the filibuster is eliminated, Schumer and Harris will use it to ram every other evil piece of leftist legislation down our throats.
On Sept. 10, Harris reminded attendees at a Democratic National Committee meeting that in her capacity as vice president, she is also president of the Senate. As such, Harris told attendees, “I cannot wait to cast the deciding vote to break the filibuster on voting rights and reproductive rights. I cannot wait!” Only 51 votes are needed to abolish the filibuster rule.
The Clinton administration said it wanted abortion to be “safe, legal and rare.” But that is not radical enough for the Biden/Harris administration, which now says abortion should be “safe, legal and accessible.” They replaced “rare” with “accessible.”
The abortion bills pending before Congress go far beyond the Roe and Casey decisions and would even protect the horrific “partial birth” procedure.
Partial birth abortion is the evil practice of pulling out the legs and body of a fully developed and ready-to-be-born baby, leaving only the child’s head in the mother’s birth canal. A spike is used to puncture the baby’s skull, and the brains are sucked out while the baby is still alive.
Even without “partial birth” procedures, abortion in any form is horrific. Not only does it end a human life, but the child’s remains are often separated into pieces and sold to the highest bidders.
The Biden/Harris/Schumer triumvirate is hoping to ram abortion through the Senate even if it violates the Hyde Amendment!
The Hyde Amendment forbids the U.S. government from paying for abortion with our tax dollars. But the law means little to them. Now they are trying to slip abortion funding into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)!
If passed, the NDAA provision will pay for flights and travel that will allow military members to kill children in abortion sanctuary states. Additionally, military medical insurance would also pay for abortion—all with YOUR tax dollars and in violation of the Hyde Amendment!
Kamala Harris’ plot to hide the truth about abortion …
Sandra Merritt is a pro-life grandmother who, through a series of undercover videos, was able to document the evil of abortion and the selling of body parts.
What Sandra filmed was more gruesome than any horror movie. Abortionists proudly bragged about ripping living children apart in the womb to get a higher-priced “specimen” for certain intact organs. One “doctor” sawed through the face of a baby whose heart was still beating to get an intact and more valuable brain specimen. Sandra documented these horrors and much more.
Today, forcing abortion on every state is not enough for Harris and company. The Biden/Harris administration also wants to hide the evil of abortion.
When Sandra’s videos were released to the public, then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris began a criminal investigation against Sandra, seeking to silence her and stop the videos.
The witch hunt even used Fusion GPS—the same group that produced the discredited “Steele Dossier” Russian hoax—to try to discredit Sandra!
When a Senate seat opened, Harris passed the baton to Xavier Becerra, now Joe Biden’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, who filed 15 bogus criminal charges against Sandra. After months of litigation, eight charges, which come with steep fines and the threat of 10 years behind bars, remain.
California has never prosecuted an undercover journalist … until undercover videos exposed one of the abortion industry’s most horrific secrets.
Liberty Counsel is also defending Sandra Merritt in the civil lawsuit brought by Planned Parenthood. We were back in the San Francisco court recently and will return in December. We have managed to get Sandra’s criminal charges reduced from 14 to eight, but Sandra still faces a multimillion-dollar Planned Parenthood civil case in which we are also defending her.
Sandra Merritt did not violate any laws. But we still must rigorously defend her. The consequences of losing are unthinkable.
