Father, forgive us for having put on robes of religion that have dulled our vision for who You are and for the equality of all the brethren in Maryland. Your word says that the greatest of us will be servants, and that anyone who exalts himself will be humbled. Forgive us for where we have failed to humble ourselves. Father, as 2023 begins, we ask You to create clean hearts in the Maryland Ecclesia, giving us the character required to carry the fire of Your glory.
Pray for your fellow intercessor.
Maryland Ecclesia, just as John the Baptist recognized that he must decrease to usher Jesus into His earthly ministry, each one of us must do likewise to prepare the way for Jesus’ return. Through tried and proven voices, the LORD has said that our ability to impact the lives of our neighbors with His glory will soon manifest in ways unlike Christendom has ever experienced — if, that is, we choose to clothe ourselves in the levels of humility and obedience to Holy Spirit required of His sent ones.
During a prophetic tour in 2004, a proven leader said about Maryland: “The LORD said, ‘I am going to awaken the seed and open the womb.’ It was also prophesied that Maryland would ‘see great conflict occurring and My people standing!’”
During the 18 years since God spoke these words through His manservants, many can attest to their accuracy. As the darkness has increased, there is a yet small but growing and unrelenting remnant of believers here who stand with ever-increasing faith and courage against the powers of this world. Still, I have often sensed that something is missing. Or, as we would say in our Southern vernacular: Something (or some things) in the Maryland Ecclesia and remnant is/are a bit off.
Family, with much love and without apology, I humbly submit to you that, overall, we are still too seasoned by self-centered ministerial goals, vestiges of religion, and the yearning for recognition from fellow servants who have national platforms. Before dismissing this article, please prayerfully and humbly consider these questions: If Jesus were looking at the state of His family in Maryland today, would He see a family of those who love and support one another unconditionally, eschewing ministry accolades, preferred seating, and access to the microphone or to top program billing? Similarly, when your religion is challenged with His new wine, do you seek Him first? Or do you react with what is the normative religious protocol, and with the doctrines of men — doctrines that have been allowed to quench what Holy Spirit wants to release — and things that seem good, but are not God?
About the 2004 prophesy, if we are the womb that is to birth the seed of godly change in America, consider the pain that a woman experiences during the final stage of birth. Giving birth to her promise necessitates excruciating pain. Similarly, the pain of dying to ourselves and allowing the ugly places in us to be lovingly touched by God might be excruciatingly uncomfortable and humbling, but the result will be something or someone beautiful and priceless: His spotless Bride. God is calling us to repent and to come out of pride, strife, and platform performance, because all of that breeds contention. He is calling us to remember this word: For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one (Romans 12:3 HCSB).
What can we do? We still have time to choose the better way, through recommitment to esteeming one another and serving with one another as Jesus modeled. God is going to send each one of us out as He chooses. Oh, how power-filled will our little remnant be when we walk with the mind of Christ!
