On Thursday afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the discovery of more than one set of classified documents found in President Biden’s home and office in Delaware.
The Special Counsel is a U.S. attorney originally nominated by former President Trump, Robert Hur.
The documents are from Biden’s time as vice president in the Obama Administration.
The appointment of the Special Counsel is the most recent action in an investigation dating back to November 9, 2023.
