Nurturing Faith Commentary: Year A, Volume 3 by Tony W. Cartledge is now available for purchase in the Good Faith Media bookstore.

This release is part of a planned 12-volume Nurturing Faith Commentary series that will cover every designated text for every Sunday in the three-year cycle of the Revised Common Lectionary.

Scholarly yet applicable, this expansive and insightful resource provides pastors, teachers and other Bible students with both academic and pastoral insights in approachable language.

“These volumes are the product of a committed desire to provide quality Bible study resources for Christians who come to the scripture with open minds and a desire to go beneath a surface reading,” said Cartledge. “Our goal has been to provide pastors, teachers and other Bible students with both academic and pastoral insights in approachable language.”

Cartledge, who teaches at Campbell University Divinity School as well as being contributing editor and curriculum writer for Good Faith Media’s Nurturing Faith Journal, holds a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Near Eastern Studies from Duke University.

Year A, Volume 1, covering the lectionary texts for Advent, Christmas and Epiphany, was released in August 2022.

Year A, Volume 2, published in September 2022, engages the texts for Lent, Easter and Pentecost.

Year A, Volume 3 addresses the lectionary texts for the season after Pentecost, Proper 1-14.
