Critical Race Theorist Finds Out She’s Descended from Original Mayflower Settler (Watch) – American Faith

Angela Davis, a prominent Marxist/Communist figure in the now-debunked Critical Race Theory (CRT) movement and former Black Panthers member was left stunned after discovering that she has an ancestor who arrived in America on the Mayflower.

The surprising revelation came during an episode of PBS’s show Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Most Americans would be happy and excited to learn that they were descended from our nation’s Founders.

But upon learning of her ancestral connection to the Mayflower, Davis expressed dismayed disbelief. “No, I can’t believe this,” she said. “My ancestors did not come here on the Mayflower. That’s a little bit too much to deal with right now.”

She was then informed that she is a descendant of William Brewster, one of the 101 people who arrived in the New World on the Mayflower in 1620.

In response to the news, Gates asked Davis if she ever thought she might be related to the people who laid the foundation of the country, to which she replied, “Never, never, never, never, never.”

In addition to her Mayflower connection, Gates also revealed that Davis is a descendant of Stephen Darden, a drummer in the 4th Virginia Regiment during the Revolutionary War, who later moved to Georgia and became a slave owner.

Reflecting on the revelations, Davis spoke about her conflicting emotions, saying, “I always imagined my ancestors as the people who were enslaved. My mind and my heart are swirling with all of these contradictory emotions.”
