Post-COVID Symptoms? God’s Word Is Greater! – Intercessors for America

“My friend is hospitalized and experiencing atrial fibrillation, would you please pray for her?”

This was the second such call I had received in a 24-hour span. These were both healthy people for whom the life-threatening symptoms seemed to have come from nowhere. I wondered what was going on. As I prayed for them, one question stayed in my mind: “Is there something God is trying to show me?”

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Over the past few months, I have witnessed numerous people experiencing symptoms with their heart, organs, and even mental capabilities, who have not previously undergone such issues. I began to ask questions, mainly, how many had contracted the COVID-19 virus? It was the one thing they all had in common.

We are beginning to learn the detrimental effects of the COVID vaccine, but what about the long-term effects of having the COVID-19 virus itself? What are the issues doctors are now seeing from those who have recovered from the COVID-19 virus?

According to the Mayo Clinic, some of the symptoms of long-term COVID are:

  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Lung (respiratory) symptoms, including difficulty breathing or shortness of breath and cough
  • Neurological symptoms or mental health conditions, including difficulty thinking or concentrating, headache, sleep problems, dizziness when standing, pins-and-needles feeling, loss of smell or taste, and depression or anxiety
  • Joint or muscle pain
  • Heart symptoms, including chest pain and fast or pounding heartbeat
  • Digestive symptoms, including diarrhea and stomach pain
  • Blood clots and blood vessel (vascular) issues, including a blood clot that travels to the lungs from deep veins in the legs and blocks blood flow to the lungs (pulmonary embolism)
  • Rash
  • Changes in the menstrual cycle
  • Symptoms that worsen after physical or mental effort

What is surprising to me is that for many, the symptoms do not appear as soon as they recover from the virus, but a year or more afterward. While we certainly should not be fearful (God has not given us a spirit of fear), I do believe we need to be proactive and stand on God’s word and promises to combat these symptoms before they appear. Furthermore, we must stand in faith and declare healing for those who are now dealing with these side effects. According to the word of God, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. God always makes a way of escape; this challenge is no different.

The Scripture declares: “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord … (Jeremiah 30:17 NKJV). The New Living Translation renders it this way: “I will give you back your health. … ”

We have a promise! God sent His Word (Jesus) and healed us. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20 NKJV).

Whether it be from a disease, an accident, or a virus, our covenant promise is for healing. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and he has used this virus to try to do just that. But Jesus came that we might have life, and life more abundantly. Part of that life is a healed, restored, and whole body. This is our blood-bought right. It already belongs to us through the finished work of Christ; however, we must lay hold of it for ourselves. How do we do that? By declaring His word over our bodies and our families. By believing the promises of God above all symptoms.

If you or a loved one is currently experiencing any of these long-term symptoms of COVID-19, do not fear. Instead, get in the word of God. Stay there until the scriptures concerning healing get into your body and drive out every symptom. He sent His word and healed you — receive your healing today.
