Martha Chansley, mother of Jake Chansley, a political prisoner known as the “QAnon Shaman,” recently spoke with The Gateway Pundit (TGP), revealing her son’s release from prison is expected to happen “really soon.”
Although she did not provide an exact date, she expressed excitement and optimism for his early release.
Since January 2021, Jake Chansley has been serving a 41-month sentence for his peaceful participation in the January 6th protest.
He was initially facing up to 20 years in prison.
The mainstream media falsely portrayed him as the face of the January 6 so-called “insurrection,” and he became a victim of media slander and political persecution.
Recent footage released by Fox News host Tucker Carlson showed Chansley, who served in the U.S. Navy, being peacefully escorted into the Capitol by police.
Carlson, along with GOP Rep. Paul Gosar, has criticized the January 6 Committee and has been calling for consequences for those who have destroyed the lives of people like Jake Chansley.
Currently, Jake is serving the remainder of his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute in Safford, Arizona, TGP notes.
When asked about her son’s well-being, Martha Chansley said, “Jake is actually doing really well, considering the circumstances. He’s remaining optimistic and has been the whole time.”
She also shared that Jake has been working on the prison grounds and teaching “Metaphysics” classes to other inmates.
In the interview, Martha Chansley emphasized her son’s forgiving nature.
She stated, “It’s pretty amazing that Jacob would have forgiveness in his heart, isn’t it? He doesn’t hold a grudge because if you understand that when you hold a grudge and you hold anger inside towards others, then it’s like drinking poison.”
When asked about how it feels to have her son labeled a domestic terrorist, Martha responded, “It’s ridiculous, and the nation, those that have not been in the know and have an understanding of who Jake is, now have a now know the truth that Jacob is not a terrorist. He is a patriot. He is a shaman. He’s America’s shaman.”
On the topic of the January 6 tapes released by Fox’s Carlson, Martha confirmed that Jake had seen them on TV and felt vindicated by the footage.
She said, “It’s vindication at this point to say, ‘see, I was telling the truth.’”
Regarding Jake’s first attorney, Al Watkins, and his representation, Martha expressed disappointment and felt that Watkins was in over his head with the case.
