Wallnau at Murillo’s ‘Fire and Glory’ Tour: God Is Leading, Not the Speakers

Taking a faith walk with God is never dull, even for seasoned believers who have spoken publicly for decades and have been heard by millions of people.

So, to reach the people, to truly have their hearts touched in a radical way by God, leaders sometimes must step back and just let God be God and transform people who are searching for His purpose in their life.

While recently working with Mario Murillo to host the “Fire and Glory” tour, Lance Wallnau sat down with Charisma News to talk about reaching the millions who are desperately seeking the Lord in America.

“What is happening is an experiment really, [that] Mario and I are doing,” Wallnau explained. “Sometimes you just go with what God is showing you as you go. And what we realized is that there’s classic revival meetings, charismatic meetings, which Christians will pack a stadium out for, [but it] won’t change a culture necessarily.”

Society is certainly changing, but not for the better.

While there have been amazing outpourings of the Lord at places like Asbury University, Bakersfield, California, and others, the leadership of the United States has taken a firm stance on the promotion of unbiblical policies that are leaving its citizens spiritually parched and looking for answers.

To get the change many are seeking, it is going to take a move of God.

“We see healings, notable miracles, we get them on film. We have the verified testimony,” says Wallnau. “So, we have miracles, healings, supernatural before and after’s that happened in the meetings. …The unsaved are coming, and we don’t even know how to reach them yet, we just put our minds in agreement.

“Now, the concerned patriots, the people that love America, are coming out to the meetings. We didn’t even know how this was happening. But we have like 1,000 God saved last night. Hundreds got filled with the Spirit, and these are raw… they don’t even know what they don’t know. They’re just coming in off the bleachers” he added.

Too often, Christians can overwhelm themselves trying to come up with ways to reach people who desperately need the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Wallnau points to the simplicity of allowing God to have His place at the front of the church and fill it with the power of the Holy Spirit. Then lasting change becomes a reality.

“We’ve had theologians, but we’ve not had supernatural. And we need the primitive power of Pentecost. He [Jack Hayford] said, ‘If you’re going to host the move of God, you have to be prepared to be a little embarrassed because you can’t control what’s happening.’

“God will embarrass you by exposing what you’re not ready for. It’s like Hayford said ‘God likes to do that to keep you a little humble.’ And it’s true. You can’t take credit for what’s happening. It’s like ‘Oh my gosh, I don’t know what’s going on.’ The meeting is taking over the ministry. That’s revival.”

As the world continues its moralistic spiral into ungodliness on multiple fronts, Christians can stay active in ministry while humbling themselves again before the Lord and let Him take the reins of ministry.

This humility manifested itself in the recent outpouring at Asbury University and several other colleges across the country, as well as Murillo’s evangelistic crusades. A movement of humility in the Christian church would open the floodgates of heaven and wash over people with the renewing of the Holy Spirit in ways that have been the focus of the faithful’s prayers for decades.
