Do you ever wonder how on earth people consider themselves to be of sound mind and body yet still believe the propaganda being pushed on America? I know I do. I look at how people believe that up is down, left is right, right is left, down is up, right is wrong, and wrong is right — and I wonder what ever happened to sanity and common sense. The world has changed much in just a few short years, and not for the better.

Post a prayer for your state!

But friend, the blood of Jesus still speaks a better word than all the liberal propaganda, lies, and deceptions that are being worked on our nation.

We can plead that blood over our nation in prayer in many ways. And if we will, we will see change.

In particular, I am reminded today to plead the blood from Jesus’ crown of thorns over our nation.

Everything Jesus suffered during His passion purchased something for us. We know that it is by His stripes that we are healed, but the saving work of the cross accomplished not only healing. Jesus’ blood purchased everything Father God has for us — and access to everything He is.

I believe Jesus bled from His skull — from His very brain — in order to purchase our right to have His own mind. As the apostle Paul wrote under the direction of Holy Spirit: For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16 NKJV).

Did you catch that? “We have the mind of Christ.” How did we get that mind? Jesus had to bleed in order to obtain it for us. And just as His body was ripped to shreds by a Roman whip in order to put our physical bodies back together in healing, I believe Jesus bled from His brain in order for us to have the mind of Christ.

Just think how different our nation would look if everyone in it suddenly started operating with the mind of Christ!

I know that the mind of Christ is the inheritance of the believer, but think of it anyway! If everyone came to Jesus and started operating from His mind, holy and divine wisdom would reign supreme again. Lies would be cast down. The idols of the demon god Dagon would fall at the feet of Christ and His glory-carriers (since YOU are the Ark carrying His covenant now!), and sanity would return to our nation.

Can you believe God for that? Do you think He was serious when He said in Joel 2 that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh — not just on those who already believe?

I believe it. I believe God is going to visit us with such an outpouring of His Spirit that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea.

If you can agree with that in prayer, let’s lift the blood of Jesus by the crown of thorns up to the Father:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus’ name. We thank You for sending Your precious Son Jesus to die for us. Thank You for redeeming us from the slave market of sin, where we would have been enslaved forever except for Your mercy. We thank You that the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom when Jesus died, for by His blood, everything You are and everything You have became available to us. We praise You for Your goodness and grace.

Father God, we plead the blood of Jesus by His crown of thorns over our nation today.

Jesus bled from His head — right from His brain — because, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. And Your word says in Isaiah 53 that it pleased You to crush Him, Father; so, You allowed Jesus to bleed from His brain. And through that blood of Your Son, You purchased the mind of Christ for us.

So, Father God, we ask today that You would cover our entire nation with the blood of Your Son Jesus — particularly that blood that He shed from His skull, scalp, and brain. And we ask today that, because of the precious blood of Christ — the Lamb without blemish and without spot — You would bestow upon our whole nation the mind of Christ again.

We pray today:

• that our nation and everyone in it would return to sanity;
• that we as a nation, together with all our citizens, would suddenly “come to” ourselves (as the prodigal son came to himself) and wake up;
• that good, godly, common sense would return to every person — even to those who are trapped in darkness;
• and that it would be as if You switched the light on so that people would suddenly flee from the stupidity of sin and darkness, turning instead to the light of Your wisdom.

Father, give every person in our nation the beautiful mind of Christ.

We present before You, as legal evidence, the fact that Jesus bled from His brain and head so that our minds could be saved, and we ask that You would apply this salvation to our nation as well.

Thank You, Father. Give us wisdom once again. Restore us to seeking You, and fill us with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. All these things were paid for with the precious blood of Jesus, so we thank You for honoring that blood and turning things around in our nation.

As it is written in Your Word, so let it be done. Thank You, Abba Father. With faith and trust in You, our Hope, we pray; and it’s in Jesus’ name that we say amen.

Friend, everything Jesus suffered has purchased something for you and for me. And always remember that His sacrifice applies even to our nation. All the ends of the earth are Jesus’ inheritance, for the kingdoms of this world WILL become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ.
