In his prime as a World Wrestling Entertainment giant, “Superstar” Billy Graham was a popular fighter.

Now 79, Graham is fighting for his life, and his wife, Valerie, has taken to social media to ask for prayer for her husband, who has been in the hospital since nearly the beginning of the year.

“Please, urgent prayers needed for my husband,” Coleman posted. “The doctors wanted to remove him from life support tonight (Tuesday). I refused. He’s a fighter and his will is strong even if his body isn’t. God is our hope.”

Graham has been dealing with a “myriad of serious health issues and has been in the Intensive Care Unit for several weeks.” The family has set up a GoFundMe page for the ailing former wrestler.

Born Eldridge Wayne Coleman, “Superstar” Billy Graham has lost 80 pounds and continues to struggle with extreme weakness due to a lack of appetite. An infection in his ears, skull and sinus cavity remain the biggest health challenges for him.

As a result of the infection, he is completely deaf.

“We’re praying this is temporary, and will resolve itself as the infection is treated,” Valerie Coleman said in her post. “The financial situation has become dire as insurance is only covering a part of this treatment. … Please help pray for the ‘Superstar’ to recover, and get back home where he belongs. God bless you all, thank you. He is in the fight of his life.”

Graham was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
