Elon Musk promises to ‘fund legal bill’ for people treated unfairly by employers over their posts on X – LifeSite

(LifeSiteNews) – Individuals who “were unfairly treated” by their employer for “posting or liking something on” X (formerly known as Twitter), can receive unlimited financial assistance for legal activity, Elon Musk announced recently.

Musk made the announcement in a post on X on Saturday evening.

The post quickly received stories, some of which Musk himself responded to.

“There is a Canadian social worker who was fired in part for retweeting my tweets,” Dr. Jordan Peterson wrote.

Former Disney actress Gina Carano responded as well. “I think I qualify,” she wrote, along with a smiling emoji. Disney fired Carano from the Star Wars TV series “The Mandalorian” after she wrote posts criticizing “preferred pronouns” and shared commentary critical of the federal government.

In one tweet she criticized COVID mask mandates. “Democratic Government leaders now recommend we all wear blindfolds along with masks so we can’t see what’s really going on,” she wrote. Carano is now involved with The Daily Wire.

“On it,” Manhattan Institute attorney Ilya Shapiro responded. Georgetown University’s law school forced Shapiro out of a job after he criticized President Joe Biden’s pick of Ketanji Jackson for the Supreme Court.

Mrs. Sheree Di Vittorio, a Coptic Christian parent, was fired by AutoTrader after radical left-wing activists contacted the company about her opposition to the promotion of LGBT ideologies at a local school.

Join us in boycotting AutoTrader for this apparent anti-Christian discrimination.

SIGN: We will boycott AutoTrader until it apologizes for discriminating against a Christian employee

Mrs. Di Vittorio sent her child to a York Catholic elementary school because she expected it to uphold her Christian principles.

She spoke up at a York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) meeting to object to the school’s sexualization of children and promotion of gender-confusion.

Di Vittorio did not expect to be fired from her job without cause after standing up for the rights and safety of children.

Police were called into a peaceful meeting, and the personal details of the speakers were released by the school board. Subsequently, Di Vittorio was defamed in an article by the highly propagandized, government- funded CBC.

After woke trolls demanded that AutoTrader terminate this mother, AutoTrader did so without any investigation, violating her rights.

The cowardice and intolerance of AutoTrader should concern us. Are we living in a totalitarian state? Who will be next?

Sign & Share: We won’t do business with AutoTrader until they apologize for this Orwellian discrimination

AutoTrader should stick to helping people purchase vehicles, not thought policing their employees in the exercise of their parental and civic duties.

An ensuing investigation cleared him but only because he made the comments prior to his official start of his job. He left the university because he assumed he would be punished in the future for sharing his political views.

Other commentators thanked Musk for his support for free speech.

“This is incredible. The precedent of firing people for what they like or endorse on social media outside of work — I think — is the single most destructive precedent set in the social media era,” Clay Travis, a top ranked conservative radio host who wrote a book critical of woke corporations, wrote on X.

“Tides are turning,” investigative journalist James O’Keefe wrote.

However, others were skeptical, noting that Musk has fired employees for posting critical comments of him on the platform.

Another user wrote that Musk “has not provided any route to reporting such treatment or requesting such funds, beyond people merely commenting on his thread along with (currently) 36K+ others. i reckon it’s a publicity stunt.”
