After a few days of hypothermic temperatures in the 90s, Dallas is expected to be back up around 109 degrees today. What better time to mention we are, by my calculation, just 71 days away from the start of Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas.” More on Hallmark in a minute.

First, a victory for life.

FDA Must Restore Safeguards Against Chemical Abortion Drugs, 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Rules

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has unanimously ruled the FDA must restore critical safeguards around chemical abortion drugs. This includes banning the drugs from being shipped by mail.

Alliance Defending Freedom’s Erin Hawley celebrated the ruling:

The FDA will finally be made to account for the damage it has caused to the health of countless women and girls and the rule of law by unlawfully removing every meaningful safeguard from the chemical abortion drug regimen. The FDA’s unprecedented and unlawful actions did not reflect scientific judgment but rather revealed politically driven decisions to push a dangerous drug regimen without regard to women’s health or the rule of law. This is a significant victory for the doctors and medical associations we represent and, more importantly, the health and safety of women.

Apple Removes All Glenn Beck Podcasts From iTunes

Perhaps it’s just a glitch. You know the “mistakes” that only seem to happen to conservative broadcasters and personalities. Apple on Wednesday removed all of Glenn Beck’s podcasts from iTunes with no explanation, beyond “We found an issue with your show The Glenn Beck Program.” Beck was flummoxed. “This is crazy,” he said. “There is nothing we have said that would warrant any type of removal.”

Well, given what now constitutes a “crime” in America — complaining about an election springs immediately to mind  — saying “Good Morning” could now be deemed worthy of censorship.

Beck speculated it may have had to do with asking on his show yesterday, “Which is the crime family?”

I wonder if today’s podcast asking who the REAL crime family is had something to do with this apparent censorship by Apple?

Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis is proposing a trial date of March 4, 2024, for the GOP’s leading candidate Donald Trump. March 4 is one day before Super Tuesday … and a week and one day before the Georgia primary. Could they at least pretend this indictment isn’t politically motivated?

Hallmark CEO Who Pushed the Channel Toward Wokeness Departing After Just Three Years

Hallmark has lost a bit of its luster since it decided to go woke. Well, here’s where we can offer some cheer. The honcho behind the changes at Hallmark, Media CEO Wonya Lucas, announced she is stepping down at the end of the year. She has only been with the company three years.

While upping the ethnic diversity of Hallmark movies has made for some fun and exotic rom-coms (and cravings for Indian and Greek food), Lucas also shoved homosexual relationships into many of Hallmark’s movies and has allowed very family-unfriendly ads. Thus torpedoing one of the few major cable outlets left that are safe for the kiddies.

Lucas replaced Bill Abbott, who got bombarded from the Left for his determination to stick to traditional family values. Abbott went on to take over Great American Family, bringing with him a roster of Hallmark stars, including Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Jen Lilly and Trevor Donavan.

Abbott said he wanted to provide entertainment for families who “don’t want to think about dark, violent, sexual situations.”

Former Full House Star Jodie Sweetin Gets Grumpy Over Movie Being Sold to Great American Family

Speaking of GAF and Candace Cameron Bure, Candace’s former Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin is in a huff. Sweetin is “disappointed” that a new independent rom-com she’s done, called Craft Me a Romance, was sold to Great American Family without her knowledge.  You know, because the channel supports traditional family fare. And, my gosh, you can’t have that. Said Sweetin:

Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold. So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family. I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.

I can hear what most actors and independent film makers are saying right now. “You’re complaining where your film was sold?! It sold!” I guarantee her co-stars … who didn’t make millions as kids … are ecstatic to see the film sold to a channel that’ll run the thing repeatedly for the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, you hear talk about a “feud” between Sweetin and Cameron Bure over Candace’s comments about traditional family movies. “My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them,” Bure said last year. “I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.” This, of course, got her attacked by the LGBTQ mafia and drew Sweetin’s ire. And she and her TV sibling got to sniping a bit at each other on social media.

Ah. Sisters.
