Kim Potter has written a beautiful prayer guide for us designed to annihilate the spirit of fear. Follow along, intercessor, and pray against the fear in your life.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
God, I thank You that You have not given me a spirit of fear. Fear does not belong to me. I rebuke the spirit of fear and command it to go from me in Jesus’ name. Spirit of fear, you have no right to torment me; I come against you with the blood of Jesus – you must come through that blood to get to me. Go now, in Jesus’ name, and do not come back.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19 NKJV).
Father God, thank You for the authority You gave me through Christ. Today I exercise that authority over the spirit of fear and command it to go from me, to leave me and my entire family. We refuse and resist fear, in Jesus’ name. It must go, according to the Word of God, now, in Jesus’ name.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints (Ephesians 6:10–18 NKJV).
Today I put on the whole armor of God. I will stand firm against every evil work. I am fully equipped to withstand anything the Enemy would try to bring against me today. I successfully quench every fiery dart of the wicked one. I have victory! I declare it to be so now, in Jesus’ name.
Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18 NKJV).
Thank You for Your Word, God. What I bind on earth is bound in heaven. I come into agreement with this Word, and I bind the spirit of fear, I command it to go, in Jesus’ name. It has no place in me, and it will no longer torment me. This day I declare my freedom! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV).
I will not fear. God is with me, and He gives me strength. He upholds me and gives me the victory every single time. I walk in peace because He is always with me.
Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident (Psalm 27:3 AMPC).
God, I thank You that no matter what I may face today, I remain in peace and confident of Your faithfulness. My heart shall be at rest, for You are with me. I fear not, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:4 NKJV).
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work … (2 Timothy 4:18).
God, today I rejoice in You. You are with me. You comfort me. You deliver me from every evil work. Thank You! I give You praise that YOUR love for me casts out all fear, now and always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4 NKJV).
Oh, what a glorious God! You have heard my cry, and You have delivered me from ALL my fears; today I am free from all fear. Thank You, God, for faithfully fulfilling Your Word and Your promises in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15 NKJV).
Fear is gone from me. Jesus has taken all my fears and nailed them to the cross. I will not fear again, I will only cry out “Abba, Father,” for You are with me. You give me peace and security. I trust You completely. Thank You for delivering me from every evil work and from all my fears, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6–7 NKJV).
From this day forth, I will not be anxious about anything. Instead, with thanksgiving I will go to God with my request. And His peace, which passes all understanding, will guard my heart, my mind, and my emotions through Christ Jesus. Thank You, God! I receive and walk in this promise from today to the end of my days. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
