In a classic work by J.R.R. Tolkien — a learned skeptic of power-grabbing elites and self-credentialed experts — Samwise Gamgee talks to his old friend Frodo about the perilous path they are treading toward Mordor: “We shouldn’t be here at all, if we’d known more about it before we started. But I suppose it’s often that way.” In the broken, post-tyranny world refashioned by the COVID panic, we know how such hunted hobbits feel. We wonder if The Shire can ever be the same again.
The COVID virus, fashioned in secret as a weapon, was wielded like Sauron’s One Ring: a totem with which to terrorize and brainwash billions, always in service of just one simple outcome: Control. Dominion by the few over the many, wealth massively transferred from small businesses to trillion-dollar conglomerates, sacred rights like freedom to worship, to speak, and to gather stripped away like wool from sheep.
Like the black-robed, flying Ringwraiths, political leaders and media moguls devotedly served their globalist masters. They issued their diktats, and we were expected to crouch in our homes and obey. We couldn’t shop, go to work or church, and we were expected to vote by mail — though Sauron’s minions could riot unimpeded in the streets. If we tried to dissent, we were censored. Even experts in their fields found themselves silenced and professionally persecuted.
A Test Run for Tyranny Straight Out of a James Bond Movie
As I wrote over at Substack:
[S]ocial media giants such as YouTube shut down the accounts of famous epidemiologists and vaccine researchers such as Dr. Robert Malone, silencing free debate about the best responses to COVID, with the explanation that it was simply following the WHO’s guidance? But most of us just took that in stride: Oh, our free speech just got stripped away by billion-dollar corporations working with unelected foreign bureaucrats, allegedly to “save lives.” What else is new?
The COVID panic was a test-run for full-on totalitarian thought control, justified by a “crisis.” That experiment succeeded beyond its authors’ wildest dreams.
Now the same World Health Organization which led the cover-up of the real origins of COVID (a U.S.-funded Chinese bioweapons lab), championed murderous lockdowns, and forced an untested vaccine into our bodies is reaching out again to grasp the One Ring of power.
Will Biden Agree to Nullify the U.S. Constitution?
The WHO is meeting later this month to sign a treaty that would override the constitutions of every country that agrees to it. Twenty-two out of fifty U.S. attorneys general just signed a chilling letter warning Americans what’s at stake:
As the chief legal officers of our States, we oppose two instruments under negotiation that could give the World Health Organization (WHO) unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the United States and her people … .
To varying degrees, these measures would threaten national sovereignty, undermine states’ authority, and imperil constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. Ultimately, the goal of these instruments isn’t to protect public health. It’s to cede authority to the WHO – specifically its Director-General – to restrict our citizens’ rights to freedom of speech, privacy, movement (especially travel across borders) and informed consent.
Let’s remember what happened just four years ago, when the WHO flexed its muscles. Allegedly to “stop the spread” of an already uncontrollable virus, the organization declared a global health emergency, imploring all countries to impose COVID lockdowns. The warden imprisoning us in the U.S. was Dr. Anthony Fauci, who’d helped fund the research that initially created COVID. Fauci used his bully pulpit to mislead elected officials with false information on COVID’s origins and how it spreads; to demand everyone wear useless containment measures like masks; to exaggerate its virulence and morbidity. And most dangerous of all: He helped impose on us potentially deadly vaccines disguised as life-saving devices.
Starving the Hobbits
With a global propaganda campaign of shaming and fear, the WHO managed to shut down the economic activity of the entire world. The useless, fascist lockdowns crashed thousands of businesses, caused mass unemployment, and incinerated hundreds of billions of wealth in a vast bonfire which hurt the world’s poorest disproportionately — depriving millions in Africa of medicine, food, and fuel. The COVID panic caused the highest economic uncertainty in decades, surpassing the impact of 9/11 and even the 2008 economic crisis.
Marko Kolanovic, a strategist at JP Morgan, argues that governments were “spooked” into imposing lockdowns: “Unlike rigorous testing of new drugs, lockdowns were administered with little consideration that they might not only cause economic devastation but potentially more deaths than COVID-19 itself.” [emphasis added]
In 2021, states with the strictest lockdowns like Hawaii, California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York exhibited some of the highest unemployment rates in the country. The exploding joblessness helped bid wages down for those who could even find work. Middle- and lower-income families in the U.S. bore the brunt, with “nearly one in five middle-income families … receiving unemployment benefits in 2020.” One in three adults in lower-income households reported unemployment for at least part of 2020.
Driving Helpless Kids and Blue-Collar Workers to Despair
School closures robbed children of more than a year of school, and harmed their mental health in incalculable ways — to protect them from COVID, which posed little real health risk to most. Studies in the U.S. showed that “the loss of connectedness in one’s social network was heavily associated with poorer psychological distress and mental health during the early months of the 2020 pandemic.”
In richer nations, blue- and pink-collar workers in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, and retail were laid off in droves, reduced to dependence on government checks. Not everyone can work via Zoom — a fact that proved impossible to convey to editors and journalists.
The impact on food security was particularly severe in low-income countries. Millions who already lived hand-to-mouth struggled to afford necessities, pushing them deeper into hunger and malnutrition. A study in Bangladesh showed that: “COVID-19 lockdown had a significant impact on household food insecurity, dietary diversity as well as acute malnutrition in children.” Even in wealthy Britain, one in four adults became at risk of hunger and potential malnutrition.
Wrecking the Lives of the Working Poor
Multiple poor countries witnessed widespread internal displacements where millions of migrant workers living in the big cities returned to their villages, since they no longer had work or housing. But with buses and trains canceled, many walked barefoot for hundreds of miles to reach their villages. Casualties were inevitable. Sadly, many of them of would not get their jobs back when things returned to normalcy, worsening the plight of their entire extended families. In India alone, around 230 million people were pushed into poverty.
No one needed to go through this man-made nightmare. It was all a fake, a fraud, an exercise in social engineering, as part of a grasp at power — a power more absolute than any totalitarian dictator or system has ever come close to achieving. And all of it was sold to us based on a lie: that COVID was uniquely dangerous. You would think if that were true that governors in blue states would have kept COVID patients far away from the most vulnerable, the elderly. Instead, those public officials dumped COVID patients by the thousands in nursing homes. That duly spiked the death stats, justifying the ongoing lockdown, plus ensuring we would have insecure mail-in balloting just in time for the 2020 election. (But that was surely just some weird coincidence.)
The Myth of Mass Morbidity
We know from the data in Africa that COVID was not radically more dangerous than other well-known diseases. Toby Green, writing in MUSI, notes:
The African continent has registered fewer than 260,000 COVID deaths in three and a half years, and over 100,000 have been in South Africa alone. On a continent where around 12 million people die every year, this is a 0.75% increase over three years; removing South Africa from the equation, this becomes a 0.25% increase. Even accounting for missed diagnoses, mortality impacts have been very low … .
Green writes that “in addition to the inflationary pressures, other factors such as access to electricity, school closures (and loss of associated nutrition), premature marriage for adolescent girls, and restrictions on the informal market on which 85% of African workers depend all had major impacts on the lived experience of poverty” due to lockdowns.
A 2022 Afrobarometer public policy report concluded that “government orders closing borders, restricting domestic travel, closing businesses … are likely to have had much more far-reaching effects on trade, sales, employment, and personal income.”
Turbo Cancers and Sudden Heart Attacks
Further, by shoving experimental vaccines into their bodies, the WHO-Big Pharma nexus has violated the dignity of billions and impacted their health forever. Billions now live with the scars, not of the virus, but of the vaccines themselves — which may well be fueling an epidemic of heart problems and exotic cancers.
What can men do in the face of such reckless evil? Sam Gamgee observed to Frodo that heroes in the old stories, the best stories, “had lots of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn’t. And if they had, we shouldn’t know, because they’d have been forgotten.”
We must not flinch from the fight. As Tolkien’s whole magnificent tale managed to prove, “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.”
