Libertarian Party Nominates Pro-Drag, Open Border Former Democrat Chase Oliver – American Faith

Former Democrat and political activist Chase Oliver won the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination.

Oliver has previously voiced support for Antifa, Drag Queen Story Hour, vaccine mandates, and open borders.

He secured the nomination with 60% of the vote.

“We did it! I am officially the presidential nominee,” Oliver wrote on X.

During his victory speech, Oliver declared, “I’m saying right now, end the genocide, ceasefire now, and support peace around the world.”

Oliver said that drag queens are “just like the Wiggles,” adding that “nothing sexual” is going on at Drag Queen Story Hours.

Oliver attempted to “break some myths” about immigration.

He said that immigrants are coming to work, not to “take our welfare.”

Panning to razor wire, the Libertarian nominee stated, “[T]these kinds of things belong more in dystopian-totalitarian states.” He added that walls “prevent commerce, these walls prevent peaceful people from being able to move freely about.”

Discussing “gender-affirming care” for minors, Oliver tweeted, “I’m disappointed that a legislature decided to limit therapies and care specifically for young people who may be trans or nonbinary.”

He similarly wrote in 2022, “It seems Georgia is poised to become another state which finds trans kids playing school sports to be important enough to rise to the need for legislation.” Oliver claimed the legislation was “targeting a small community for political points,” noting that the move is a “shame and will harm the small number of trans athletes.”

Oliver has also supported efforts for assisted suicide, abortion, and the removal of references to God on money, federal buildings, and national monuments.

The Libertarian presidential nominee also compared biblical values to the ideologies espoused during the George Floyd protests of 2020.

He said, “The Prince of Peace, the Lord Almighty Jesus Christ, taught me to love my fellow man, to not put them down, to not put my boot upon their neck.” Oliver declared, “I support the Prince of Peace, I support a gospel of love, and I support that all people are free.”
