Pray: New Jersey Mother Accused of Murdering Her Toddlers

A Lakewood, New Jersey mother has been charged for murder after her two toddler daughters died.

As the New York Post reported, 27-year-old Naomi Elkins was arrested after officers received a report of the children going into cardiac arrest late Tuesday afternoon at 4:50 p.m.

The girls, ages 1 and 3, were both drowned. The one-year-old was also discovered to have wounds from being stabbed.

As CBS News noted, officers found Hatzolah Medical Services trying to keep the children alive, however, both girls died. Investigators believe Elkins is responsible for the deaths of both children.

Elkins has been arrested for two counts of murder for possession of a weapon with unlawful purpose and the unlawful possession of a weapon. She is being held without bail at the Ocean County Jail.
