Donald Trump was speaking at the podium at a packed rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13 when popping sounds emerged. The former president reached for his right ear before immediately ducking down.
Within seconds, secret service agents surrounded him and began moving him off the stage… Not before Trump showed his face, revealing a bloody right ear and streaks of blood across his right cheek. The former Republican president and 2024 hopeful remained defiant and, perhaps wanting to show supporters he was not seriously harmed, pumped his fist in the air several times.
According to journalist Tim Alberta of The Atlantic, the suspect was taken down while two other victims were taken to hospital.
Trump is reportedly said to be doing “fine” while being looked over at a local facility.
According to The New York Times: “The Team Trump official account on X, citing Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, wrote: ‘President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.’”
