(LifeSiteNews) — Planned Parenthood was “fully booked” with 25 appointments to dispense abortion pills at a mobile center on Monday and Tuesday during the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

“Twenty-five innocent human beings whose lives are being ended at the DNC. And this is done as a political statement,” pro-life activist Lila Rose remarked Tuesday on her podcast.

Rose noted the same day that Planned Parenthood had confirmed 10 free abortion “medications” were dispensed from the mobile vehicle on Monday. “Ten helpless babies have been sacrificed so far at the DNC death cult,” Rose lamented. “There are no words to express the sheer horror.”

National Right to Life president Carol Tobias slammed the Planned Parenthood abortion truck as “disgusting,” adding that it was “not surprising” considering the Democratic Party’s firm support for abortion, according to NPR.

Dr. Colleen McNicholas, the chief medical officer of Planned Parenthood in the region, told the New York Post on Monday that the mobile clinic not only had 25 scheduled abortion pill-dispensing appointments for Monday and Tuesday but also had 10 vasectomies scheduled for Monday.

She shared with The 19th after the clinic wrapped up on Tuesday that it was “fully booked” on both Monday and Tuesday, and told NPR that the patients could take the abortion pills either on site or at home under Illinois law.

Rose pointed out during her Tuesday podcast that chemical abortions, which can be excruciatingly painful and traumatic, can take up to two or three days, induce intense bleeding, and sometimes send women to the emergency room. 

Chemical abortions both kill the lives of unborn children and pose risk of serious harm to mothers, as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) admits. Incomplete FDA data from a two-year span (2000-2022) documents 32 deaths, 4,218 adverse events, 1,049 hospitalizations, 604 blood loss incidents requiring transfusions, 418 infections, and 75 severe infections from mifepristone.

Democrats For Life of America executive director Kristen Day told Fox News she believes “the celebration of having (f)ree abortions here is just a real travesty for Americans.”

She pointed to the “celebration of abortion,” as the “overall problem” with the Democratic Party, which in the past said its aim was to keep abortion “safe, legal, and rare,” a phrase coined by former President Bill Clinton. 

“The fixation on it from the extremists, it’s harmful to women,” Day said.

“They’re degrading human life and women for that matter. It’s just absolutely disgusting … this continued celebration of abortion.”
