A third-grade teacher in Texas was arrested after allegedly dealing drugs during class.

Jessica Ferguson, a teacher at Sheldon Independent School District, was reportedly caught through a wiretap discussing drug deals while at school.

“She was on a call, taking part in that drug conspiracy while she was at school. And you can hear the children in the background,” U.S. Attorney Alamdar Hamdani said.

Authorities linked her to the “Rich Kingz” gang, which has been involved in violent crimes and drug trafficking.

The school district is cooperating with the investigation, and Ferguson has been placed on administrative leave.

Rich Kingz are being investigated as a gang “which has been operating for years out of southwest Houston and is responsible for drug trafficking and violent crimes across our entire city, including several murders.”
