“For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces in the heavenly places,” (Eph. 6:12).
What we see in this physical world is just a snippet of what is happening in the spiritual realm. What takes place in the spirit is much more than we could ever comprehend, and it is in the spiritual realm that we must learn the keys to fighting well.

“[If] you’re going through some battles, you’re going through some trials, you’re going through some tribulations, you’re facing tornadoes, man you’re facing hurricanes spiritually…I want to share something with you,” Ramirez says.
Ramirez’s new book, “Exposing the Devil’s Playbook,” acts as a guide for readers so they can fight the good fight of faith, no matter what kinds of storms or blockages come their way in life.
“There’s a lot of people going through dark times,” says Ramirez. “And we are meant to go through some dark times. No one is exempt. The Bible says it rains on the just and the unjust. So, both parties, the unbeliever and the believer get the rain. The thing about us [is] that Jesus is on the boat with us.”
Ramirez uses the example of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps’ training routine that he went through to prepare to swim in any circumstance.
“I share in the book [that] Michael Phelps was trained by his coach in such a unique way. He turned off the lights of the gym when he was swimming in the pool,” Ramirez says. “He trained him to swim in the dark, to swim in uncertain times, to swim when it was not easy.”
In this same way, the Lord wants to strengthen us so we can swim through the storms of life.
“God is teaching you how to swim in the dark. In the dark season you’re in…whatever darkness you’re going through,” Ramirez says.
God has made us to be more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. There is no power or authority greater than that of Christ, and it is through Him and Him alone that we are healed, made whole and can overcome all our obstacles. By learning how to prepare for spiritual battle we can be equipped for anything thrown in our direction.
