New Poll Shows Majority of Americans Optimistic About Trump’s Return to the White House – American Faith

A new CBS poll reveals that most Americans are feeling hopeful about the next four years under President Donald Trump, with optimism surpassing levels seen at the start of his first term in 2017.

The poll indicates widespread confidence in Trump’s ability to boost the economy, with Americans expressing hope for improved job opportunities and financial growth. The optimism extends beyond domestic issues, with many believing Trump will enhance global peace and stability, particularly in reducing tensions between Israel and its neighbors in the Middle East.

According to the poll, 42% said they expect Trump’s policies to make them better off financially, with 77% of Trump voters saying they expect to be better off.

74% of Trump voters also said they expect grocery prices to go down during his upcoming term, while 24% expect no change

Interestingly, the poll shows that even some voters who supported Kamala Harris in the last election are reevaluating their views on Trump. Nearly a quarter of Harris voters expressed optimism about his leadership, signaling a potential shift in sentiment among those who had previously opposed him.

This positive outlook contrasts sharply with opinions on President Joe Biden’s tenure, as over half of respondents now believe his policies contributed to increased conflict in the Middle East.

CBS News/YouGov conducted the survey among 2,174 adults in the United States from January 15-17.

As Trump prepares to take office, the results highlight a renewed sense of hope among Americans for progress both at home and abroad.
