Sometimes the way forward isn’t clear. We know God wants change and transformation, to leave the past behind, but we feel stuck in the now and the not yet. We have questions we can’t answer. Which way should I go? What choice is right? God invites us ask him for wisdom, which he will abundantly give. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given you.” (James 1:5) 

God knows we don’t have all the answers, and he wants to give them to us. He offers this wisdom and direction without judgment or condemnation, to any who come to him humbly, laying down our pride. His ways are higher than ours, far greater, and he wants to teach us his goodness in relationship and intimacy. 

New beginnings take a combination of courage and wisdom. Not every choice available to us leads to God’s best. Only God can help us determine the best from good options. When he reveals his decision for us, we can move forward with grace and trust, enduring when it gets hard because we know his call. 

Heavenly Father, 

Lord, I need your wisdom. Show me the way to go. Give me understanding and keep me in your ways in all my decisions. Help me trust your leading and choose the path that will bring you glory. Thank you for your abundant wisdom.
