From Just the News:
President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that Israeli officials have agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in its war with Hamas, which will be presented to the terrorist organization by Qatar and Egypt.
The announcement comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House next week. Israel has also recently agreed to a ceasefire with Iran, after Israel and the United States bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Trump did not disclose the details of the ceasefire agreement, but said all parties involved will use the ceasefire to bring lasting peace to the region.
You can see the President’s post announcing the ceasefire below:
As intercessors, it’s important for us to pray into this ceasefire. After all, all of us want peace and an end to the bloodshed. However, peace must happen on God’s terms. A peace that divides Israel and removes the Jews from their ordained homeland is no peace at all.
We should also pray for the President. He has proven to be committed to peace, and yet, he has allied himself with some dubious characters in his quest for peace. We have covered President Trump’s alliances with Qatar and Syria, nations that have historically been at odds with Israel. He even mentioned Qatar in his post, despite the fact that Qatar previously hosted Hamas leaders.
As negotiations continue, let’s pray for a true and lasting peace that blesses Israel and the Jewish people.
