Guru Krupa Foundation grant bolsters RNS coverage of Hindus and Hinduism

The Religion News Foundation (RNF) is pleased to announce a $160,000 two-year grant from the Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF) to bolster Religion News Service’s (RNS) deep and nuanced reporting on Hinduism and the Hindu community. As a premier independent, non-profit newsroom, RNS provides the objective reporting and expert analysis required to navigate today’s complex religious landscape.

The Guru Krupa Foundation has been a vital partner in RNS’s mission to enhance religious literacy globally, both for its own audience and within the wider media landscape.

“We are deeply grateful to the Guru Krupa Foundation for their ongoing commitment,” said Deborah Caldwell, CEO and Publisher of RNF/S. “Their support allows us to explore Hinduism at a time when balanced, sophisticated journalism is more critical than ever. In a polarized world, RNS serves as a trusted space for complex conversations. Highlighting the growing influence of the Hindu community—both in the U.S. and globally—is central to that work.”

This funding helps ensure that Hinduism and the Hindu community receive comprehensive coverage alongside other major global faiths, highlighting both core theological tenets and the lived experiences of Hindu Americans.

“RNS stands alone as a secular outlet that provides consistent, dedicated reporting on Hinduism. Thanks to the Guru Krupa Foundation, we will continue to produce stories that help non-Hindu readers discover the faith while ensuring Hindu voices have a dedicated platform within the broader interfaith conversation,” added Deborah Caldwell.

Our thanks again to the Guru Krupa Foundation for helping RNS tell these essential stories.
