“Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”
Romans 5:9
The blood of Jesus saves you! His favor lasts a lifetime for you. Because of the cross, Jesus absorbed all of God’s wrath so that you can receive all of God’s grace, mercy, and love. The blood of Jesus saves you from spiritual death. Death no longer has a hold over you. Jesus’ blood reverses the curse of eternal separation from God and solves the problem of spiritual death by uniting us back to God.
Jesus dealt with sin once and for all on the cross, which can set you free. “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more” (Hebrews 8:12). This promise from God is possible because the blood of Jesus saves us from sin forever. We are free from guilt, shame, and condemnation. The blood of Jesus saves you. In our own power we fail, but when we lean into His love and accept that salvation is a complete work of God’s grace, we are free. We are saved, made righteous, and freed from our own self-trust.
We are free from grief and sorrow through the blood of Jesus. Consider Isaiah 53:4-5. Through His blood, Jesus made the great exchange for your freedom from condemnation. Resist the temptation to surrender to grief and sorrow. Give them to Jesus. Put on the garment of praise for His glorious sacrifice. He paid for it so that you do not have to carry it. Turn sorrow and sadness into rejoicing and gladness. His blood frees you.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
Healing and wholeness are God’s promise for your spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
Jesus’ blood is the proof of God’s perfect love for you. There is no greater love. This perfect love casts out fear. His love brings peace. God’s love is everlasting. It lasts through the storm. It lasts through the midnight hour. It lasts through the harshest hurt you will ever face. It is everlasting.
Galatians 3:13 reminds us that we are redeemed by His blood. Through His sacrifice, we no longer have to remain under the penalty of sin. This is how powerful the precious blood of Jesus truly is. You are accepted as His beloved, not rejected (Ephesians 1:6-7). You are approved through His blood. Resist the lying voice of rejection. Through Jesus, you have access to the Father, and the barrier has been removed.
You are anointed by the blood of Jesus (Leviticus 8:30). That anointing removes burdens and destroys yokes (Isaiah 10:27). The blood of Jesus established a new covenant—an unbreakable agreement between God and His people. This covenant guarantees God’s promises through His authority. The Old Covenant revealed sin; the New Covenant removes sin. We are cleansed forever.
God’s promises are secured through the blood of Jesus, the blood He shed on the cross for our sins. When God sees you, He sees the righteousness of Christ. If you trust in God’s promises and believe in Jesus, you are a joint heir with Christ.
God loves you unconditionally.
