Jordan Peterson calls Canadian health official ‘detestable’ for excessively extending COVID jab mandates – LifeSite

(LifeSiteNews) – Popular Canadian political commentator Jordan Peterson blasted one of Canada’s most authoritative provincial health officers, calling her “power mad” and “detestable” for keeping jab mandates for healthcare workers in place for so long.

“Bonnie Henry is arguably the most detestable progressive political figure in all of Canada,” Peterson wrote September 5th on X.

“A true authoritarian in sheep’s clothing She is literally everything wrong with the delusional utopian powermad left No conservative or true liberal would tolerate her policies.”

Peterson made the comments in reply to X user David Schreck, who wrote a post in support of Henry’s handling of British Columbia’s COVID crisis health rules as the provincial health officer, claiming that if the province elects a Conservative government in the next election Henry could be fired.

“If there are any @Conservative_bc candidates who disagree with @JohnRustad4BC over firing Bonnie Henry, they should speak up,” Schreck wrote.

“She saved thousands of lives guiding us through the pandemic. Are #conservative_bc all anti-science?”

The NDP (New Democratic Party) government of British Columbia had in place a COVID jab mandate for healthcare workers years after most provinces dropped theirs. It was not until July that Henry formally announced an end to the COVID jab mandate policy for those working in health care.

However, along with Henry’s announcement, the provincial government announced that it was creating “a vaccine registry,” forcing all healthcare workers to disclose vaccination status to their employer.

John Rustad, the leader of the BC Conservative provincial party, had promised earlier this summer that should he become premier he would rescind the COVID jab mandate for healthcare workers.

As reported by LifeSiteNews, Rustad recently told Peterson he believes provincial governments should protect children from puberty blockers, which are increasingly being pushed on youth by LGBT radicals.

Polls show that Rustad’s Conservatives are neck and neck with the ruling NDP under David Eby.

British Columbians will be heading to the polls on October 19.
