Three Ukrainian Military Aircraft Shot Down by Russian Forces in a Single Day – American Faith

On Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of three Ukrainian warplanes, including two MiG-29s and one Su-25, in a single day, according to a report from RT News.

The ministry reported that the MiG-29 fighter jets were shot down over the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Kherson Region, while the Su-25 close-support aircraft was brought down in the latter area.

The Russian military also claimed to have intercepted eight U.S.-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) missiles and destroyed six Ukrainian drones operating within Moscow’s military operation zone.

Since the conflict with Kiev began in February of the previous year, Russian forces have reportedly destroyed 416 warplanes, 230 helicopters, and nearly 4,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, RT notes.

Also on Tuesday, Russia’s defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, called on a state-owned company to increase its missile output in anticipation of a potential Ukrainian counteroffensive.

Both sides in the ongoing 14-month war are said to be experiencing a shortage of ammunition.

During a meeting with top military officials, Shoigu acknowledged that the Tactical Missiles Corporation had been meeting its contractual obligations in a timely manner.

However, he emphasized the need to accelerate production of high-precision weapons, stating, “right now it is necessary to double the production of high-precision weapons in the shortest possible time.”
