Good Thing There Weren’t Four Gay Couples on Noah’s Ark – The Stream

Although an impossible hypothetical (as God would have never done that), the above title statement is quite obvious to all of us. Had there been four gay couples on the ark, I wouldn’t be writing this, and you wouldn’t be reading it. Humanity would not exist. So, why is the rainbow — the miraculous sign given to the eight people onboard the ark — an LGBTQ symbol?

The story of Noah’s ark is the greatest heterosexual story ever told. It’s the story of four heterosexual couples — Noah, his wife, Noah’s three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), and their wives — called by God to replenish the earth. And that they did … there are about 8 billion people alive today.

The same was true with the animals; they went onboard the ark in pairs. Some were single pairs, and some clean animals were in seven pairs (for food and sacrifice), but they were all paired one male with one female. That’s how nature works. And Romans 1:20 makes it clear that anyone can understand the invisible things of God by what is visible through nature that He created, so “none are without excuse.”

Accommodating “Itching Ears”

It’s such a tragedy that this celebration of a sin in our society has crept into the church — even among the clergy. We often hear statements from those woke church leaders like, “We believe that God loves everyone just the way they are.” Of course that’s true, but God’s love is not the issue. You should welcome them into your church as those committing any other type of sin. But hanging a rainbow flag to eulogize it (and perverting an important biblical symbol) is an entirely different thing. 2 Timothy 4:3 tells us, “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.” As a leader, if you really love them, you should “speak the truth in love.” (Ephesians 4:15)

There’s More to Kentucky Than Bluegrass, Bourbon, a Derby, and a Colonel

The photo above may have rubbed you the wrong way at first glance. That’s because our society has hijacked this amazing symbol from God’s Word. It’s actually a great image. Ken Ham, CEO and founder of The Ark Encounter in northern Kentucky, said they have set up permanent rainbow lights “to remind the world that God owns it, and He decreed it’s a sign of His covenant with man after the Flood … Christians need to take back the rainbow as we do at The Ark Encounter.”

The Discovery of Sodom

While there were other sins committed in Sodom and Gomorrah (see Ezekiel 16:49-50), it’s apparent these wicked cities were destroyed primarily because of the rampant homosexuality. (see Genesis 19)

Dr. Steven Collins told Joel Rosenberg on The Rosenberg Report (TBN) last week that he has positively discovered the remains of Sodom. He went into greater details of his findings on Rosenberg’s YouTube channel

Collins said that triangulating at least 25 known pieces of geography in the Bible took him to an area about 8 miles northeast of the Dead Sea, to a site called Tell el-Hammam. Prior to that, the conventional wisdom of Bible scholars pointed to south of the Dead Sea, although nothing had ever been found. He has conducted archeological digs in Tell el-Hammam for 22 years and has recently made some remarkable discoveries, uncovering what’s possibly the largest city of the Bronze Age. And Collins said there is much evidence of “temperatures far beyond anything terrestrial … way hotter than, like any volcanic magma. We’re talking boiled zircons which happened at about 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit.” A nuclear physicist on his team, who worked on the Manhattan Project and was there when they blew up the first atomic bomb, said a piece of greenish glass on a piece of pottery looked just like trinitite. He explained that trinitite was “the melted glass underneath the tower where the first atomic bomb blew up.” The scientist who examined that piece under the USGS Kumiko 100 electron microscope said, “Oh, nice piece of trinitite.”

Is it a coincidence that these discoveries are being made of the ruins of Sodom at this time in our history? Jesus said, “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot … on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28-30)

“Rejoices in the Truth”

Please don’t misconstrue any part of this as “hate speech.” It’s actually in love. I know this because “love rejoices in the truth.” (1 Corinthians 13:6) And condemnation doesn’t change anyone’s heart and mind, anyway. Only conviction by the Holy Spirit can do that.

Furthermore, it’s not my intention to be the “sin police.” Romans 3:23 reminds us, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” But while many of the woke church leaders are quick to cry “Judge not,” they forget that 1 Corinthians 5:12 says, “But it certainly is your responsibility to judge (in love) those inside the church who are sinning.”

I’m not saying the feelings the LGBTQ individuals have are a figment of their imaginations, but they are unnatural and are generally caused by unnatural circumstances. But regardless of the cause, whether physical (such as sexual abuse as a child) or spiritual (such as a generational influence), God is the Repairer of the Breach. (Isaiah 58:12)

You may be thinking, “This hasn’t hit close to home for you, or else you would be more sensitive.” I would say to you that you’re wrong. It has hit very close to home for me, involving someone I love very much. But truth is still truth.

A “Man’s Man” in NYC

I once attended a church service at Times Square Church in New York City and got into a conversation with one of the ushers before the service started. He was impressive, nicely dressed, very personable, and seemed like a real “man’s man.” He began to share his personal testimony with me, and it was an incredible one. This very masculine, “man’s man” proceeded to tell me that just 18 months earlier, he had gone to the altar of that church in a dress and high heels to commit his life to Jesus Christ. He went on to say that Jesus saved him that day and eventually helped him find his true identity.

The good news is that complete redemption from the fall of Adam is available to everyone. Jesus said He came “to seek and to save that which was lost.” God is no respecter of persons — gay or straight. (Acts 10:34) I believe what He did for that usher, He will do for anyone who desires to be set free from all confusion and be transformed into all that God created him or her to be.
