Journalist claims Joe Biden answered private global cell phone Hunter had paid for – LifeSite

(LifeSiteNews) — A prominent journalist has shared that in 2019 he called a “secret” global cell phone belonging to Joe Biden that was not his personal cell phone and that Joe picked up the phone.

The claim is fueling speculation that this phone was used in Biden’s acceptance of a Ukrainian company’s bribery scheme

John Solomon, editor-in-chief of Just the News and former editor-in-chief of The Washington Times, shared with Real America’s Voice on Wednesday that among Hunter Biden’s laptop documents, which were previously leaked to Solomon, was a global cell phone number for Joe Biden that his son Hunter was “paying for.”

“So I called the cell phone, and guess who picked up the phone? Joe Biden,” Solomon said.

“Boy, was he shocked when he picked up the phone and found out it was me. He hung up pretty quickly,” he added, mentioning that he had never shared this story with anyone other than his editors at The Hill at the time.

Solomon divulged the incident after Peter Schweizer, head of the “Government Accountability Institute,” told Maria Bartiromo on FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that Hunter Biden’s laptop contained a private global cell number belonging to Joe, paid for by Hunter.

“It’s interesting, what is the line of communications between Hunter Biden and his business partners and Joe Biden when he’s vice president of the United States? It’s not the government phone, it’s not Joe Biden’s personal phone,” Schweizer said.

“We know from the laptop that Hunter Biden’s business paid for a private phone line that Joe Biden used while he was vice president. It was from AT&T, it was $300 a month, it was a global phone where you could access somebody anywhere around the world,” he noted.

“We shared that phone number and that account information with people in the House Oversight Committee. My hope is that … if they haven’t already, they will subpoena those records because I think it will give an indication on how tight the communication was,” he told Bartiromo.

Schweizer speculated that it could be the cell phone number used by the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings — on whose board Hunter sat — which allegedly bribed Biden $5 million for a scheme involving “influence over U.S. policy decisions,” as Fox News reported.

“And that may be the phone, for example, that … the Burisma executive might have used in this allegation that he talked to Joe Biden in recorded conversations,” Schweizer continued.

The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed the FBI for an FD-1023 document transcribing the FBI’s interview with a “highly credible” confidential source who recounted meetings and conversations the individual had with a high-ranking Burisma executive over the course of a few years, beginning in 2015, Fox News has noted.

The document came to public light after a whistleblower approached Republican GOP U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, sharing that the FBI was in possession of the FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020.

Emails from Hunter’s laptop revealed that on April 16, 2015, while Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden met with a high-level official of Burisma.

Joe Biden once himself bragged in public how he had a Ukrainian state prosecutor fired. That prosecutor was in the middle of an investigation of Burisma Holdings.
