Biden’s Teleprompter Trouble Adds to String of Verbal Missteps – American Faith

President Biden stumbled through another verbal misstep during a speech at a trade union conference in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, highlighting his tendency for awkward moments while reading from a teleprompter.

During his remarks, Biden appeared to incorporate script instructions, resulting in an unexpected pause in his speech that drew an awkward response from the audience. “Imagine what we could do next. Four more years, pause,” he said before laughing.

Biden attended the conference to secure an endorsement from the North American Building Trades Unions (NABTU). Throughout his speech, he criticized former President Donald Trump as anti-union and pro-wealthy, contrasting their economic policies as the “Scranton” plan versus the “Mar-a-Lago” plan.

The teleprompter mix-up adds to a series of gaffes for Biden. Just the day before, during a campaign rally in Florida focused on abortion, he mistakenly said, “I don’t know why we’re surprised by Trump. How many times does he have to prove we can’t be trusted?”
