Democratic Donors Funding University Protests – American Faith

Big-name Democratic donors are funding the pro-Palestine demonstrators across university campuses.

Several of the donors include George Soros, Bill and Melinda Gates, David Rockefeller Jr., and the Pritzkers, according to a report from Politico.

Two of the organizations behind the university protests include Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow. Both groups are supported by the Tides Foundation, an entity funded by Soros, Gates, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, directed by a board that includes David Rockefeller Jr. and Nick Pritzker.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation said it no longer funds the Tides Foundation.

According to the report, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund gave $300,000 to the Tides Foundation in 2022. Over the last five years, the Tides Foundation donated almost $500,000 to groups opposing Israel.

Other entities backing pro-Palestinian protests are those supported by Susan and Nick Pritzker, heirs to the Hyatt Hotel empire.

The Pritzkers founded the Libra Foundation, which has financially contributed to groups such as the Climate Justice Alliance, Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity, and the Immigrant Defense Project. Each of these groups has taken stances against Israel following its response to the October 7 attack by Hamas.

While Politico called the donors “surprising,” many took to social media to state the Democratic donors behind the protests are not surprising at all.

“This is actually the least ‘surprising’ thing I have heard all year,” wrote Chaya Raichik, the conservative commentator behind the account “Libs of TikTok.”

“This is ‘surprising’ to absolutely no one,” RNC research similarly wrote.

Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) tweeted, “Wonder who is funding the campus protesters? It’s exactly who you thought it was.”
