The Brew: Prayer and Protests to Greet Tonight’s Dodger Celebration of Anti-Catholic Drag Ensemble – The Stream

Happy Father’s Day Weekend!

Here’s to all the Pops out there … and those who’ve passed. The Stream has some very special pieces lined up. I hope you’ll keep an eye out for them.

Dodgers Honor Anti-Catholic Drag Ensemble ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’ Tonight … Will Be Met With Prayers and Protests

Tonight’s the night the Los Angeles Dodgers kick dirt in the face of all Christians, particularly Catholics, when they honor the Christ-and-Mary mocking, decadence-worshipping drag organization “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

Also stomping their cleat on believers is Spectrum SportsNet L.A., which is carrying the game. It rejected, without explanation, a 30-second commercial that was slotted to run during the game that Sen. Marco Rubio’s PAC had produced about the “Sisters.”

Still, the game is being met with prayer and protests.

Los Angeles Archbishop Jose H. Gomez is dedicating the 12:10 p.m. service today “for healing due to the harm caused by the Dodgers’ decision to honor a group that intentionally denigrates and profanes the Christian faith.”

“We will be praying in a special way for our city and country, for an end to prejudice, and for renewed respect for the religious beliefs of all Angelenos and all Americans.”

Can we join them in that prayer?

Church Militant will be holding a prayer rally at Dodger Stadium at 5:30 p.m. Pacific. Follow the link for more details and how you can not only watch, but virtually take part in the Dodger Stadium Procession.

We pray a move of God at the stadium, the changing of hearts. Moreover, we pray for the safety of the faithful. Dodger Stadium is a mere few miles from where ANTIFA attacked a crowd of parents protesting a Pride event at a school in Glendale last week. No doubt the Left-wing terror group will descend upon the protesters at Dodger Stadium.

Adding to the threat level, the Dodgers are playing the rival San Francisco Giants. In the best of times, things get ugly at the stadium between Dodger fans and Giant fans. Throw in the Pride event, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the protests, San Francisco fans, Catholic Dodger fans. Yeah, we need prayers of protection over that game.

Sad

How messed up have things gotten? The Blaze posted this tweet of a terrible, tragic story.

My first thought after “How awful” was a sincere, “Was it a biological boy?” (I didn’t see the picture.)

In this case, the victim was a lovely young woman. But the social contagion of the transgender cult is so prevalent, the thirst for the money from breast removals and implants so tempting, we know the unfortunate patient might well have been male. And that’s what turns a tragic tale into a horror.

Funniest Line of the Week: Rachel Maddow on Why MSNBC Wouldn’t Run Trump’s Speech

All day Tuesday, MSNBC covered Trump’s movements to his arraignment like the moon landing. And yeah, it was a most historic day. The federal arrest of a former president … the prosecution by the current president of his leading political opponent. Live coverage of historic events is the bread and butter of 24/7 cable news. However, when it came to finally hearing from Trump himself — by any rational standard, these were historic remarks — MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow didn’t want viewers to hear for themselves. Instead she offered a line funnier than anything SNL’s had for years.

“As we have said before in these circumstances, there is a cost to us as a news organization to knowingly broadcast untrue things. We are here to bring you the news. It hurts our ability to do that if we live broadcast what we fully expect in advance to be a litany of lies and false accusations, no matter who says them.”

Rachel Maddow said this. Rachel Maddow. A woman who if she peddled more fiction would have to change her name to “Barnes and Noble.”

More seriously, imagine if before President Nixon’s famous “I’m not a crook” speech about Watergate, Walter Cronkite said, “We’re not going to show it because he’s Tricky Dick and he’ll probably say something untrue.” The difference? Uncle Walter didn’t have contempt for the American people, didn’t believe them incapable of thinking for themselves.

For the same reason CNN’s Jake Tapper bitterly cut away from Trump getting serenaded at a Cuban café, Maddow didn’t want the American people to see Trump speak for himself. To judge for themselves. For Trump to be seen in a positive light. He cannot be seen as human. He cannot be allowed to defend himself unfiltered.

You are not allowed to have your own mind, your own perceptions.

Biden Blows Off Question About Whether He’s “The Big Guy”

Biden was finally asked in public if he’s “The Big Guy.” As in “The Big Guy” who was earmarked for 10% of the Chinese millions in emails between Hunter and his business partners. “The Big Guy” the Burisma owner referred to in connection with his alleged scheme to pay the Bidens $10 million to get the prosecutor investigating the energy firm fired.

“Why did the Ukraine FBI informant file refer to you as the ‘Big Guy,’ Mr. President?” Biden was asked Thursday, “Why is that term used?”

“Why did you ask such a dumb question?” Biden snapped.

Aspirational: Biden Promises to Build a Railroad “All the Way Across the Indian Ocean.”

Joe “Amtrak” Biden really likes trains. He’s got big plans for trains.

In fact, Biden told the League of Conservation Voters Wednesday night, “We have plans to build a railroad from the Pacific all the way across the Indian Ocean.”

Uh, we’d be happy if you just got the I-95 in Philly back up.

In case you were wondering, the longest rail bridge in the world is China’s Danyang Kunshan Grand Bridge, which runs about 102 miles. The Indian Ocean at its widest point is some 6,200 miles across. As of Thursday afternoon, the White House has not explained what Biden was talking about.

Serious question: What concerns you more? The President of the United States making another embarrassing mental gaffe, or the “Leader of the Free World” repeatedly being fearful of getting punished for going off script?
