Rapper Ice Cube tells Tucker Carlson why he gave up $9 million rather than take the COVID jab – LifeSite

LOS ANGELES (LifeSiteNews) — In an interview with Tucker Carlson, the well-known rapper and actor Ice Cube explained why he surrendered a $9 million deal to star in a Hollywood comedy film due to the producers’ requirement that every cast member be injected with a COVID “vaccine.”

The injection “wasn’t ready. It was six months, kind of a rush job, and I didn’t feel safe,” said the artist, whose birth name is O’Shea Jackson.

This interview, released Tuesday evening, was the 10th episode of Carlson’s new mini-show Tucker on Twitter, which he entitled “Stay in your lane” as it was conducted while driving with the music star through his  “tough” childhood neighborhood in Los Angeles.

“Why wouldn’t you take the vax? You had a direct order to take it. You were told to take it” Carlson inquired. And with some laughter, he added, “I mean, I’m sorry, they told you, they couldn’t have been clearer about it.”

Ice Cube responded amusingly, “I’m not real good with direct orders.” He added, for the producers of the show at Sony, “there’s no repercussions if they’re wrong [about the safety of the shot], but I get all the repercussions if they’re wrong.”

Yet forgoing the significant pay day “wasn’t a tough call” for the musical artist. “I wanted to be an example for my kids [to] really make sure they didn’t take it either. [And] show them that I’m going to stand on my convictions. And I was willing to lose $9 million and more, because we probably lost more since then.”

Carlson recalled the old adage of how “people who stand on their convictions are [considered] heroes, they’re brave, they have principles” and “they are the people we look to for inspiration.”

“But in this case, with this decision and these principles, you were not hailed as a hero,” the former Fox News rating king told Ice Cube. Instead, “you were attacked,” he said, showing a Saturday Night Live clip ridiculing the artist.

“I never told anyone not to get vaccinated, publicly,” Ice Cube replied. “That was never my message to the world. I didn’t even want people to know whether I got vaccinated or not.

The rapper said he was “pretty upset” when his vaccination status became public because he “was just going to quietly not take [the shot] and deal with the consequences as they came.”

He also mentioned that he knows people who have been injured by the vaccine.

“They suffer every day, and it’s hard to watch,” he said.

The Democratic National Committe (DNC), party insiders and much of the mainstream media are intent on preventing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from having any primary debate with Joe Biden, all the while demonising RFK’s position on vaccines, lockdowns and treatments for COVID-19.

To prevent debate is blatantly anti-democratic, however.

Join us therefore in demanding that the DNC allow a vaccine debate between Joe Biden and RFK, finally letting Americans consider the other side of this key issue.

SIGN: IT’S TIME TO TALK ABOUT VACCINES

With the Democratic primary approaching, it behooves us to reflect on public health policies, especially with respect to the past three years, when draconian vaccine mandates seriously injured over 200,000 Americans and killed over 28,000 according to VAERS data.

We want facts and evidence, transparency and proper studies instead of censorship. We have a right to be consulted. The DNC’s refusal to allow primary debates is undemocratic, and keeps us ignorant of the facts we need to know. Health is not a partisan issue.

The vaccine schedule has been imposed on our children for over twenty years without industry standard safety testing. We’ve seen a simultaneous increase in various chronic illnesses and conditions in childhood.

Companies like Pfizer, which have paid out billions of dollars for criminal malfeasance in the past, are now disincentivized from doing gold standard placebo/control group safety testing, all the while taking in billions of dollars in profit from compelled vaccination programs. They are also inexplicably shielded from COVID vaccine-injury compensation claims by the governments they supply.

By their own admission, the only ones who have immunity is them.

Our voices are not being heard. We are not being consulted and informed. Fear campaigns are not scientific studies. The scientific method requires discussion and debate.

We therefore demand that the DNC allows RFK to debate Joe Biden on vaccines.

SIGN: Let your candidates debate this key public health question

Once you have signed our petition, please share it with as many people as possible – as citizens, everybody needs to be informed.

It is our right in a liberal democracy. The emergency is over. Let’s look at how we’ve done. The voting public must be allowed to listen to a debate between Robert Kennedy and Joe Biden.

Share this petition among your friends and neighbours. One’s health is no small matter. Let them debate!

The interview also touched upon the rapper’s judgment that politicians, including Barack Obama, have been a disappointment regarding making life better for the people in disadvantaged neighborhoods.

He said he “felt proud America took that step” in electing Obama, but “then you look around, years go by, and not much changed for people I know, people I care about.”

Ice Cube has also started what he and a partner call the “BIG3,” a 3-on-3 professional basketball league which incorporates former NBA and international players amongst its 12 teams.

Carlson points out that while the NBA has recently embraced and promoted ideas of “black empowerment,” the BIG3 is something “the NBA doesn’t seem to like.”

“The NBA is run by a cringing neo-liberal called Adam Silver,” Carlson explained. Despite once publicly proclaiming the league’s complete commitment “to standing for social justice and racial equality,” the former television host reported, “Silver has done his best to strangle the black-owned BIG3 in its crib.”

Mocking how the NBA commissioner never played the game of basketball at any significant level, Carlson asked Ice Cube, “What team did [Silver] play on during his career?”

The musician quipped back, “The New York lawyers.”

According to Wikipedia, Jackson and his wife Kimberly have been married for 31 years and have four children.
