Trudeau drops unpopular COVID-era ministers from his cabinet in massive shakeup – LifeSite

OTTAWA  (LifeSiteNews) — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made massive changes to his cabinet Wednesday, removing seven people, including some heavily criticized ministers, from their posts.

During a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Wednesday, Trudeau confirmed the rumor that seven of his top ministers were being dropped from his cabinet and other members would be given new assignments in the much-anticipated shuffle. All the changes were made formal at the ceremony and have officially taken effect.

The seven ministers who were dropped are former public safety minister Marco Mendicino, former justice minister David Lametti, former transport minister Omar Alghabra, former mental health and addictions minister Carolyn Bennett, former fisheries minister Joyce Murray, former president of the Treasury Board Mona Fortier, and former public services and procurement minister Helena Jaczek.

Among those seven, four of them Alghabra, Bennett, Murray and Jaczek seem to have resigned voluntarily, having previously announced they would not be running in the next federal election.

Many of the ex-ministers, especially Alghabra, Mendicino, Lametti, and Bennett, have been heavily criticized by conservatives.

Alghabra came under intense scrutiny during the COVID-19 so-called pandemic when his ministry barred unvaccinated Canadians from boarding planes and trains for both domestic and international travel.

Bennett suffered a backlash when, in arguing in favor of Canada’s ever-expanding euthanasia program – known formally as medical assistance in dying (MAiD) — she admitted that those who provide the lethal service are “trained to eliminate people who are suicidal.” She has been replaced by a rookie, Ya’ara Saks.

Mendicino and Lametti have both been publicly condemned several times, particularly for their roles in the invocation of the Emergencies Act against the anti-mandate Freedom Convoy.

Mendicino was also the target of bipartisan pushback for his key role in a controversial piece of gun control legislation framed to the public as a ban on handguns but later secretly amended to include prohibitions on a number of hunting rifles and shotguns.

Mrs. Sheree Di Vittorio, a Coptic Christian parent, was fired by AutoTrader after radical left-wing activists contacted the company about her opposition to the promotion of LGBT ideologies at a local school.

Join us in boycotting AutoTrader for this apparent anti-Christian discrimination.

SIGN: We will boycott AutoTrader until it apologizes for discriminating against a Christian employee

Mrs. Di Vittorio sent her child to a York Catholic elementary school because she expected it to uphold her Christian principles.

She spoke up at a York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) meeting to object to the school’s sexualization of children and promotion of gender-confusion.

Di Vittorio did not expect to be fired from her job without cause after standing up for the rights and safety of children.

Police were called into a peaceful meeting, and the personal details of the speakers were released by the school board. Subsequently, Di Vittorio was defamed in an article by the highly propagandized, government- funded CBC.

After woke trolls demanded that AutoTrader terminate this mother, AutoTrader did so without any investigation, violating her rights.

The cowardice and intolerance of AutoTrader should concern us. Are we living in a totalitarian state? Who will be next?

Sign & Share: We won’t do business with AutoTrader until they apologize for this Orwellian discrimination

AutoTrader should stick to helping people purchase vehicles, not thought policing their employees in the exercise of their parental and civic duties.

Other notable moves in the shuffle include Jean-Yves Duclos – who once indicated he was in favor of mandatory COVID-19 injections for all Canadians being removed as the minister of health and appointed as the minister of public services and procurement. Taking his former position as minister of health is Mark Holland.

Pablo Rodriguez, one of the lead cabinet members behind a variety of internet censorship bills, was switched from his post as the minister of Canadian heritage to that of transport minister, his former role being assumed by Pascale St-Onge.

Anita Anand was also removed from her post as defense minister and will now be the president of the Treasury Board. Her former role is being taken over by Bill Blair, who previously served as the minister of emergency preparedness.

Other prominent members of Trudeau’s cabinet, including finance minister and deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland and foreign affairs minister Mélanie Joly – who both have ties to the globalist World Economic Forum – environment and climate change minister Steven Guilbeault – who was once arrested for his part in a climate alarmist demonstration – and minister for women and gender equality and youth Marci Ien – who recently hosted an “all ages” drag show with children present on Parliament Hill – remain in their current positions.

The shakeup comes amid numerous scandals involving the Trudeau government and many of his cabinet members.

Most notably, Trudeau’s government has been embroiled with the alleged Chinese election interference scandal, in which numerous reports citing Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) documents and sources indicate that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) meddled in favor of Trudeau in both the 2019 and 2021 federal elections.

The Trudeau government has also received intense backlash in recent weeks involving its internet regulation bills C-11 and C-18, which have seen some Canadians blocked from viewing news on social media sites run by Google and Meta (formerly Facebook) as the Big Tech platforms refuse to go along with the government’s dictates regarding payment to Canadians whose content is shared on their websites.

Individual ministers have also been under fire as of late, particularly Mendicino, once it was discovered that, under his watch, notorious serial killer Paul Bernardo was clandestinely moved from a maximum security to a medium security prison.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting CorporationTrudeau was expected to hold his first meeting with his new front bench later Wednesday.
