27-Year-Old Soccer Star Dies Suddenly – American Faith

Bury Football Club is in mourning following the sudden death of their beloved soccer star, Emily Wilcock, who was just 27.

Wilcock, a dedicated and cherished member of the team, was known for her unwavering commitment and infectious smile, The Daily Caller is reporting.

The club made an official announcement on their website, stating: “Bury Football Club is extremely saddened to share the passing of Emily Wilcock, aged 27. Emily joined to play within the recreational setup two and a half years ago and was a very proud and committed member of the setup, barely missing a training session, taking part in extra summer sessions and attending social events with the squad.”

Emily Wilcock played a pivotal role with the Greens, a team that clinched victory in the Greater Manchester Women’s Flexi League’s second tier during the 2022-23 season.

Highlighting the personal attributes that made Wilcock special, the club’s statement mentioned: “Everyone who knew Emily will know she was such a lovely person with a great personality and always had a big smile on her face.”

In a tribute to Wilcock, the club honored her during their Women’s match on Wednesday and plans to do so once more during the men’s game against Cheadle Town at Gigg Lane this coming Saturday, Aug 26.

Concluding the heartfelt message, the club expressed, “She will be solely missed for all of these reasons. Emily’s passing will be marked at both our Women’s game this evening and at Gigg Lane on Saturday afternoon. As a club, we wish to pass on our thoughts and condolences to Emily’s family, boyfriend, friends and all of her club teammates as they come to terms with this extremely sad news.”
