“Where’s MY celebration?” This was the question from God to my friend, Gabrielle Bruno, in May of 2023. She had been praying with others on the Global Family 24/7 call. She had been praising God, reminding everyone of the momentous overturning of Roe V. Wade on June 23, 2022. Gabrielle had a strong burden that Americans had too quickly forgotten the victory. In prayer, she asked what she should do. She called Alan Parker, President of the Justice Foundation, and the Moral Outcry, a ministry that provided representation for plaintiffs in the Dobbs v Mississippi Case. She asked Alan, “What are you doing to celebrate the anniversary of the overturning of Roe?” He informed her there was going to be a praise and celebration service in front of SCOTUS.

So when Gabrielle asked the Lord–boom! She heard “Where’s MY celebration?” and immediately received a download. Mind you, this was near the end of May 2023. There was no way she could put together a nation-wide project in just 8 days! But when God wants us to do something he is “faithful to complete it” (Philippians 1:6), and “all things are possible with God” (Matthew 19:26)….He provided many helpers. On June 1 2023 Celebrate Life month launched: with a website, professional promo video and a daily devotional booklet. In 2024 God is asking us again, “Where’s MY celebration?” Maybe he would ask us: “Where’s MY month?”
So many of us have been distracted– distressed over recent political events and the decay of our society. It’s so easy for us to forget that “He inhabits the praise of His people” (Psalm 22:3). Indeed, a focus for Celebrate Life Month is the story of Jehosophat, who used praise as a weapon. “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.” (II Chronicles 20:22, NIV).
What better time than now, to celebrate? A central verse for Celebrate Life Month is Revelation 12:11 (NKJV): “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
It’s time to party… to celebrate! Join Celebrate Life Month for the full month of June. Celebrate by sharing your testimony. Join online praise parties or have your own. Plan a parade or cookout and Celebrate LIFE. Celebrate the Asbury and subsequent revivals. Celebrate how you have overcome adversity. Celebrate the coming awakening. Share with others and celebrate! Father, there is no greater joy than bringing praises to Your Name! We want to celebrate for you and WITH you in June! In John 17 Jesus prayed for us all to be one, so that we might be in Him and that You would be glorified. And John 13:35 says that this is how the world will know we are disciples, because of our love for one another. Lord, let this dark world see our JOY, our PRAISE and our LOVE. We will praise before the enemy and darkness will have to flee! Amen.
