WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (LifeSiteNews) — Former President and 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is safe following the second assassination attempt on him in just over two months.

Reports emerged on Sunday afternoon that Secret Service agents opened fire on a potential gunman while Trump was playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.

A suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, is reported to have pushed the muzzle of an AK-47 rifle through the fence outside the golf club 300 -500 yards away from Trump. Routh was able to get away but has now been arrested.
