Ben and Jerry’s introduces Kamala Harris-themed ice cream to swing presidential election – LifeSite

(LifeSiteNews) — Far-left ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is teaming up with far-left lobbying group MoveOn.org to launch a new flavor promoting Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, in conjunction with a voter registration tour of battleground states.

USA Today reports that company founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield will be raffling off the new “Kamala’s Coconut Jubilee” ice cream at “Scoop the Vote” ice cream truck stops in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin, and other battleground states to bring out potential new voters. At the stops, volunteers will also use the opportunity to give a left-wing policy pitch to those who turn out.

“There’s a ton of folks that are already tuned into this election, and then there’s a vast, vast set of folks that aren’t,” MoveOn executive director Rahna Epting said. “We’re not going to win this election through New York Times op-eds. We’re not going to win this election through pushing out smart tweets. We’re going to win this election by actually talking to the voters that we know that if they turn out to vote, they are way more likely to vote for Harris-Walz than Donald Trump.”

“I want to get a common decency at a minimum in the White House,” said Cohen. “I want someone who supports people of all races, all genders. And I think Kamala is a person who supports people. She doesn’t try to make herself bigger by putting other people down.”

Despite Cohen’s mild-mannered rhetoric, his company has long infused left-wing politics with dessert. The front page of Ben & Jerry’s website boasts, “We love making ice cream – but using our business to make the world a better place gives our work its meaning,” and features blog posts about “churn[ing] out the vote,” ending cash bail, and opposing prison construction. Its “Issues We Care About” page touts “racial justice,” refugees, so-called “LGBTQ+ Rights,” climate, and more.

MoveOn, meanwhile, is a notorious George Soros-funded organization dedicated to pro-Democratic fundraising, advertising, protests, and get-out-the-vote operations, as well as pushing the Democratic Party leftward since its inception in 1998.

“It’s about all of us versus MAGA. I’m not just talking about Trump, but the disease within the GOP that has taken over,” Epting declared in 2022.

Scoop the Vote is correct about one thing: the election is widely expected to be close.

Harris narrowly leads Republican former President Donald Trump according to polling aggregations by RealClearPolitics and RaceToTheWH, although Harris leads by less than two points in Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, by just under three points in Wisconsin, and is virtually tied in North Carolina. At the same time, Trump leads by less than a full percentage point in Arizona and Georgia.
