U.S. Strike Kills Senior Leader of Terrorist Group – American Faith

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday that its forces in Syria successfully eliminated Abu-‘Abd al-Rahman al-Makki, a senior leader of the terrorist group Hurras al-Din, in a “targeted kinetic strike.”

Al-Makki was a high-ranking council member and a key figure within Hurras al-Din, an organization ideologically aligned with Al-Qaeda in Syria.

He played a significant role in overseeing the group’s terrorist activities within the region.

General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of U.S. Central Command, reaffirmed the U.S. military’s commitment to combating terrorism, stating that CENTCOM remains dedicated to the ongoing defeat of terrorist groups in the region that pose threats to the United States, its allies, and regional stability.

Earlier this month, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that U.S. military forces would be repositioned across the Middle East to support ally Israel.

As part of this strategic shift, major assets like the USS Abraham Lincoln, a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, and its battle group were re-deployed to the region.
